Our own memories are very fallible. A constant issue, for us at least, short of the appearance of BowTied Archivist / Librarian / Reference is keeping on top of who does what in the Jungle and how to organise and share that knowledge.
Brighter minds than ours are aware of this, and this very subject may become both a very practical or very boring later note.
We'll cover this in part II and will definitely update this note with at minimum a clear exec summary / conclusion for you.
Short answer: It depends
Use them if their incentives are aligned and you don't have a better inside track with the company / line manager. Part II will outline the pros and cons throughout the recruitment process and give as much guidance as we can.
